Pensacola’s colleges, UWF and Pensacola Christian College, have been recognized for their health care training programs. UWF’s nursing program has been ranked among the Best Undergraduate Nursing programs by U.S. News & World Report in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. In addition, UWF’s Online Master’s in Nursing Programs have been ranked among the best nationally for all students and for Veterans.

Florida Trend magazine reported on the success of Pensacola State College’s nursing program last fall. Every year nearly 300 nursing students graduate from PSC, and many go to work for local employers, and the post-graduation employment rate have trended near 100%. Northwest Florida State College also awards A.S. degrees in nursing and has both a state-of-the-art Simulation Center and internship opportunities for their students.
